Outfit details – Sweater: Target | Skirt: Zara (Sold out) Similar Here and Here (On sale!) | Booties: Christian Louboutin | Bag: Reed Krakoff (Now on sale) | Rings: H&M | Necklace: Baublebar (old) Similar Here and Here.

Outside my office is this huge outdoor subway platform and that was the inspiration behind these photos. In a busy city like New York there is inspiration everywhere.

It is really starting to get quite cold here in New York which makes it harder to photograph a great look since the wind is one of those things you cannot control. Apologies in advance for mediocre photos.

These boots are my favorite boots. More often than not, my outfit begins with a pair of statement shoes, similar to these, and builds its way up. Brown, Green and Beige are one of my favorite color combos. It is a very grungy palette yet very chic and elegant at the same time. There is nothing like a leather skirt with a large chunky sweater. The sweater and boots are having opposite effects on this skirt which is what makes this outfit so versatile. One dresses it up and one dresses it down. Perfect for a day to night. My key to spicing up a big ugly sweater is by adding a gorgeous necklace and let it do all the talking.
